Oni no Kami
Oni no Kami is a term from Japanese folklore that translates to "God of Demons." In traditional beliefs, Oni are often depicted as malevolent spirits or demons, characterized by their fierce appearance, which includes horns, sharp claws, and wild hair. They are commonly associated with mischief and chaos, often serving as antagonists in various stories.
In some contexts, Oni no Kami can also refer to protective deities that ward off evil spirits. These deities are sometimes worshipped in shrines, where people seek protection from misfortune and calamity. The dual nature of Oni reflects the complexity of good and evil in Japanese mythology.
