One Laptop Per Child
One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) is a non-profit initiative aimed at providing affordable, durable laptops to children in developing countries. The project was launched in 2005 with the goal of enhancing education through technology. Each laptop is designed to be low-cost, energy-efficient, and capable of functioning in challenging environments.
The laptops come equipped with educational software and resources, promoting self-learning and collaboration among students. OLPC believes that access to technology can empower children, improve their learning experiences, and help bridge the digital divide, ultimately contributing to global educational equity.
