Omani Professional League
The Omani Professional League is the top tier of professional football in Oman. Established in 1976, it features clubs from various regions of the country competing for the championship title. The league operates on a promotion and relegation system with the lower divisions, ensuring a competitive environment for teams.
The league typically runs from August to May, with each team playing a total of 26 matches in a round-robin format. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion, while the bottom teams face relegation to the lower division, known as the Omani First Division.
