Olympic sailing competitions
Olympic sailing competitions are held every four years as part of the Summer Olympics. Athletes from around the world compete in various classes of boats, showcasing their skills in navigation, speed, and teamwork. The events take place on open water, with races designed to test the sailors' abilities in different wind and sea conditions.
There are multiple sailing disciplines, including Laser, 470, and Finn classes, each with specific rules and boat designs. Competitors earn points based on their finishing positions in each race, and the sailor or team with the lowest total points at the end of the series is declared the winner.
