Olympic Stadium of Athens
The Olympic Stadium of Athens, also known as the Athens Olympic Stadium or OAKA, is a multi-purpose stadium located in the suburb of Marousi. It was originally built for the 1896 Summer Olympics and has undergone several renovations, most notably for the 2004 Summer Olympics. The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 69,000 spectators.
Designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the stadium features a distinctive roof structure that symbolizes the ancient Greek heritage. It serves as the home ground for the A.E.K. Athens F.C. and hosts various sporting events, concerts, and cultural activities throughout the year.
