Olivia Goldsmith
Olivia Goldsmith was an American author best known for her novel, The First Wives Club, published in 1992. The book, which explores themes of friendship and revenge among divorced women, became a bestseller and was later adapted into a successful film in 1996, starring Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton.
Goldsmith was born on May 1, 1941, in New York City and graduated from Dartmouth College. Throughout her career, she wrote several other novels, including Young Wives and The Switch, and became recognized for her sharp wit and engaging storytelling style. She passed away on January 19, 2004.
