Olds Motor Vehicle Company
The Olds Motor Vehicle Company was an American automobile manufacturer founded by Ransom E. Olds in 1897. It is best known for producing the Oldsmobile, one of the first mass-produced cars in the United States. The company played a significant role in the early automotive industry and was a pioneer in assembly line production techniques.
In 1901, the Olds Motor Vehicle Company introduced the Curved Dash Oldsmobile, which became the first car to be mass-produced in the U.S. The company continued to innovate and expand until it was eventually absorbed by General Motors in 1908, marking a significant chapter in automotive history.
