Old Frisian
Old Frisian is an early form of the Frisian languages, which are a group of West Germanic languages spoken in the coastal regions of the Netherlands and Germany. It was used from around the 8th to the 16th century and is closely related to Old English and Old Saxon.
The language is primarily known from a few surviving texts, including legal documents and poetry. Old Frisian played a significant role in the development of the modern Frisian languages, which are still spoken today, reflecting the region's rich linguistic heritage.
