Old Earth Creationism
Old Earth Creationism is a belief system that combines faith and science, asserting that the Earth is billions of years old, as supported by scientific evidence. Proponents of this view accept the findings of geology, astronomy, and other sciences while maintaining that a divine creator, often identified as God, played a role in the origin and development of life.
Unlike some other creationist views, Old Earth Creationists do not interpret the Bible literally regarding the age of the Earth. They may see the days of creation in the Book of Genesis as symbolic or representative of longer periods, allowing for the integration of scientific understanding with their religious beliefs.
