Ohio-class submarines
The Ohio-class submarines are a class of nuclear-powered submarines used by the United States Navy. They were designed primarily for strategic deterrence and can carry up to 24 Trident II (D5) ballistic missiles. These submarines are known for their stealth capabilities and can operate at great depths, making them difficult to detect.
In addition to their role in nuclear deterrence, some Ohio-class submarines have been converted for special operations and intelligence missions. They are equipped with advanced technology, including sonar systems and communication equipment, allowing them to perform a variety of tasks while remaining hidden underwater.
