Ocular System
The ocular system, also known as the visual system, is responsible for the sense of sight. It includes the eyes, which capture light, and the brain, which processes visual information. The main components of the ocular system are the cornea, lens, retina, and optic nerve. These parts work together to focus images and send signals to the brain for interpretation.
Light enters the eye through the cornea, passes through the lens, and is focused onto the retina at the back of the eye. The retina contains photoreceptor cells that convert light into electrical signals. These signals travel along the optic nerve to the brain, where they are interpreted as images.
