Octomom
"Octomom" is the nickname given to Nadya Suleman, an American woman who gained international attention in 2009 after giving birth to octuplets, eight babies born at once. This event was notable because it was one of the few times in history that a woman had successfully delivered eight surviving infants. Suleman already had six other children, making her a mother of fourteen.
The media coverage surrounding Suleman raised discussions about fertility treatments, as she had undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF) to conceive the octuplets. Her situation sparked debates about the ethics of using such treatments, especially for individuals with large families, and the responsibilities of healthcare providers in these cases.
