The ocean is divided into different zones based on depth and light penetration. The top layer, called the sunlight zone, is where most marine life thrives because it receives plenty of sunlight. This zone is home to colorful fish, coral reefs, and even dolphins. As you go deeper, the twilight zone has less light and is home to creatures like squid and jellyfish.
Deeper still is the midnight zone, where it’s dark and cold. Here, unique animals like the anglerfish and giant squid live. Finally, the abyssal zone is the deepest part of the ocean, where pressure is immense, and life is scarce, but some fascinating organisms still exist.
