Oarfish
The Oarfish is a long, slender fish that can grow up to 36 feet (11 meters) in length, making it one of the longest fish in the ocean. It has a distinctive ribbon-like body and is usually found in deep waters, typically at depths of 200 to 1,000 meters. Oarfish are rarely seen by humans, as they prefer to inhabit the open ocean.
These fish are known for their striking appearance, featuring a shiny, silvery body and long dorsal fins that run along their length. Oarfish primarily feed on small fish and plankton, using their long bodies to navigate through the water. They are often associated with myths and legends, sometimes thought to be harbingers of earthquakes.
