O-type Star
An O-type star is a type of massive star characterized by its high temperature and brightness. These stars have surface temperatures exceeding 30,000 Kelvin and emit a blue or blue-white light. They are among the hottest stars in the universe and are typically very large, often more than 15 times the mass of our Sun.
Due to their immense energy output, O-type stars have short lifespans, usually lasting only a few million years before ending in spectacular supernova explosions. Their intense radiation can influence the formation of nearby stars and contribute to the chemical enrichment of the galaxy.
