Nyingma Tradition
The Nyingma Tradition is one of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism, known for its emphasis on the teachings of the early translations of Buddhist texts. Founded in the 8th century by the Indian master Padmasambhava, it integrates both the teachings of the Buddha and the indigenous Tibetan spiritual practices.
Nyingma practitioners focus on the concept of Dzogchen, which aims for the realization of the natural state of mind. The tradition also values the importance of lineage and the transmission of teachings through a series of revered masters, ensuring the preservation of its unique practices and philosophies.
