Born Jun Seba in 1974, he gained recognition for his soulful beats and smooth melodies, which often featured samples from jazz records. His work has influenced many artists in the genre and contributed to the growth of lo-fi hip-hop.
He founded the record label Hydeout Productions and released several albums, including the critically acclaimed "Modal Soul." Nujabes also collaborated with various artists, such as Shing02, and his music has been featured in the popular anime series Samurai Champloo. His untimely death in 2010 left a lasting impact on the music community.
