Norwegian Championship
The Norwegian Championship is the top-tier football league in Norway, officially known as Eliteserien. It features professional clubs competing annually for the title, with the season typically running from March to November. The league consists of 16 teams, and each team plays 30 matches, facing every other team twice.
The championship is governed by the Norwegian Football Federation and has a promotion and relegation system with the lower division, 1. divisjon. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion, while the bottom teams face relegation to the lower division.
