Northern Luzon Languages
The Northern Luzon languages are a group of languages spoken primarily in the northern region of the Philippines. This linguistic family includes languages such as Ilocano, Ibanag, and Kankanaey, among others. These languages are part of the larger Austronesian language family, which is one of the world's most widely distributed language families.
These languages are characterized by their unique phonetic and grammatical features, reflecting the diverse cultures of the indigenous peoples in Northern Luzon. Many speakers of these languages also use Filipino or English as second languages, contributing to a rich linguistic landscape in the region.
