Northern Fur Seals
Northern Fur Seals are marine mammals found primarily in the North Pacific Ocean. They are known for their thick fur, which helps keep them warm in cold waters. Adult males can weigh up to 600 pounds, while females are smaller, averaging around 100 pounds. These seals are social animals, often seen in large colonies on rocky shores and beaches.
These seals primarily feed on fish and squid, using their sensitive whiskers to detect prey in the water. They are also known for their agility, both in swimming and on land. Northern Fur Seals are a protected species, with conservation efforts in place to ensure their survival in the wild.
