North American Wizarding Institutions
North America is home to several notable wizarding institutions, the most prominent being Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Founded in the 17th century, Ilvermorny is located on Mount Greylock in Massachusetts and serves young witches and wizards from across the continent. The school has four houses, each representing different magical qualities and values.
Another significant institution is the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA), which governs the magical community in the U.S. Established in the 18th century, MACUSA is responsible for creating laws, regulating magical activities, and ensuring the secrecy of the wizarding world from non-magical people, known as No-Majs.
