Norns
The Norns are figures from Norse mythology, often depicted as three female beings who control the fate of gods and humans. They are associated with the Well of Urd, a sacred spring located at the roots of the world tree, Yggdrasil. The Norns are named Urd (the past), Verdandi (the present), and Skuld (the future), each representing different aspects of time and destiny.
These beings are responsible for weaving the threads of fate, determining the life paths of individuals. The Norns are often portrayed as wise and powerful, reflecting the belief that fate is an inescapable force in the Norse worldview. Their influence extends to both mortal lives and the affairs of the gods.
