Norman Dialects
Norman Dialects are a group of regional varieties of the Norman language, which is a Romance language derived from Old Norman. Primarily spoken in the Normandy region of France, these dialects have evolved over centuries and exhibit unique phonetic, lexical, and grammatical features.
The most notable dialects include Cotentin, Coutançais, and Rouennais. While they share a common heritage, each dialect reflects local culture and history. Today, the use of Norman dialects is declining, but efforts are being made to preserve and promote them as part of the region's cultural identity.
