Non-fluent Aphasia
Non-fluent aphasia is a type of language disorder that affects a person's ability to speak clearly and fluently. Individuals with this condition often struggle to form complete sentences, resulting in speech that is slow and effortful. They may omit small words, making their speech sound telegraphic, and often have difficulty finding the right words.
This condition is commonly associated with damage to the Broca's area in the brain, which is responsible for speech production. People with non-fluent aphasia typically understand language better than they can express it, leading to frustration in communication.
