Non-Chalcedonian Churches
Non-Chalcedonian Churches, also known as Oriental Orthodox Churches, are Christian denominations that rejected the decisions of the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD. They believe in the concept of Miaphysitism, which asserts that in the person of Jesus Christ, His divine and human natures are united in one single nature, rather than being distinct.
These churches include the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Armenian Apostolic Church, and the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, among others. They maintain their own traditions, liturgies, and theological teachings, emphasizing the importance of their historical and cultural identities within Christianity.
