Nokie Edwards
Nokie Edwards was an American guitarist, best known for his work with the instrumental rock band, The Ventures. Born on May 9, 1935, in Oklahoma, he became a prominent figure in the surf rock genre during the 1960s. Edwards joined The Ventures in 1960, contributing to their signature sound with his innovative guitar techniques.
Throughout his career, Nokie Edwards played on numerous hit records, including the famous track "Walk, Don't Run". He was recognized for his skillful playing and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Ventures in 2008. Edwards passed away on March 12, 2022.
