Noche de Muertos
Noche de Muertos, or Night of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican celebration that honors deceased loved ones. It takes place on the night of November 1st, coinciding with the Catholic observance of All Souls' Day. Families create altars, known as ofrendas, adorned with photographs, favorite foods, and marigold flowers to welcome the spirits back to the living world.
During this time, communities gather to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed away. Festivities often include music, dancing, and storytelling, creating a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the belief that death is a part of life, not something to be feared.
