Niuean
Niuean is a Polynesian language spoken primarily in Niue, a small island nation in the South Pacific. It is closely related to other languages in the region, such as Tongan and Hawaiian. The language has around 1,600 speakers, many of whom live in New Zealand due to migration.
The Niuean language features a simple phonetic structure and is known for its rich oral traditions. It is an official language of Niue, alongside English, and is used in daily communication, cultural practices, and local governance. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language among younger generations.
