Ninkyo Dantai
Ninkyo Dantai, or "chivalrous organizations," refers to a type of Japanese organized crime group that emphasizes honor and loyalty. These groups often operate under a code of conduct that values respect and protection of their community, distinguishing them from more violent criminal organizations. They are sometimes involved in activities such as gambling, loan sharking, and protection rackets.
Historically, Ninkyo Dantai emerged in the early 20th century, influenced by the samurai code of bushido. Unlike other criminal syndicates, they often portray themselves as protectors of the weak, which can lead to a complex relationship with the public and law enforcement.
