Nimitz class
The Nimitz class is a class of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers in the United States Navy. Named after Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, these ships are among the largest warships in the world, measuring about 1,092 feet in length. They can carry over 60 aircraft and are designed to support a wide range of military operations.
Each Nimitz-class carrier is powered by two nuclear reactors, allowing them to operate for over 20 years without refueling. They are equipped with advanced technology for navigation, communication, and defense, making them a vital component of the U.S. Navy's global presence and power projection capabilities.
