Nigerian Tribes
Nigeria is home to over 250 distinct tribes, each with its own unique culture, language, and traditions. The three largest tribes are the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, which together make up a significant portion of the population. These tribes contribute to Nigeria's rich cultural diversity, with various festivals, music, and art forms that reflect their heritage.
Each tribe has its own traditional governance and social structures. For example, the Hausa are primarily found in the northern region and are known for their Islamic culture, while the Yoruba in the southwest have a rich history of kingship and spirituality. The Igbo in the southeast are known for their entrepreneurial spirit and communal living.
