Nigerian Education System
The Nigerian Education System is structured into three main levels: primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Primary education lasts for six years, followed by three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education. The system aims to provide basic literacy and numeracy skills, along with foundational knowledge in various subjects.
After completing secondary education, students can pursue tertiary education at universities, polytechnics, or colleges of education. The National Universities Commission oversees university education, while the National Board for Technical Education regulates polytechnics. The system faces challenges such as inadequate funding, overcrowded classrooms, and varying quality across regions.
