Nigeria Basketball Federation
The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) is the governing body for basketball in Nigeria. Established in 1963, it oversees the development and promotion of the sport at all levels, including grassroots, amateur, and professional leagues. The NBBF is responsible for organizing national competitions and managing the national teams, including the senior men's team, known as the D'Tigers, and the women's team, called the D'Tigress.
The federation works to improve the infrastructure for basketball in the country and collaborates with international organizations like FIBA to enhance the sport's visibility and competitiveness. Through various programs and initiatives, the NBBF aims to nurture young talent and promote basketball as a key sport in Nigeria.
