Nichiren Shoshu
Nichiren Shoshu is a Japanese Buddhist sect that follows the teachings of Nichiren, a 13th-century monk. It emphasizes the chanting of the Lotus Sutra and the phrase "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo" as a means to attain enlightenment and improve one's life.
The sect believes that the Dai-Gohonzon, a sacred object of worship inscribed by Nichiren, embodies the ultimate truth of Buddhism. Followers practice through prayer, study, and community activities, aiming to spread the teachings and achieve personal and societal transformation.
