Niassa Reserve
The Niassa Reserve is a vast protected area located in northern Mozambique. Covering approximately 42,000 square kilometers, it is one of the largest wildlife reserves in Africa. The reserve is known for its diverse ecosystems, including savannas, forests, and wetlands, which support a variety of wildlife species.
Home to elephants, lions, and numerous bird species, the Niassa Reserve plays a crucial role in conservation efforts. It is also part of the larger Niassa-Selous Ecosystem, which connects to other protected areas, promoting biodiversity and ecological balance in the region.
