Ngoni People
The Ngoni people are an ethnic group primarily found in Malawi, Tanzania, and Zambia. They are descendants of the Ngoni warriors who migrated from South Africa in the 19th century, led by the famous chief Zwangendaba. The Ngoni are known for their rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and vibrant ceremonies.
Traditionally, the Ngoni people are pastoralists, raising cattle and cultivating crops. Their social structure is organized around clans, with strong emphasis on family and community ties. The Ngoni also have a unique language, which is part of the larger Bantu language family, reflecting their historical roots and cultural identity.
