Ngas Language
Ngas Language is a member of the Niger-Congo language family, primarily spoken in Nigeria. It is the native language of the Ngas people, who reside mainly in the Plateau State region. The language has several dialects, reflecting the diverse communities within the Ngas-speaking population.
Ngas is characterized by its unique phonetic and grammatical features, including tone and noun class systems. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language, as it faces challenges from dominant languages like Hausa and English. Language preservation initiatives aim to maintain the cultural heritage of the Ngas people.
