Ngäbe Language
The Ngäbe language is an indigenous language spoken by the Ngäbe-Buglé people in Panama. It belongs to the Chibchan language family and is primarily used in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, a region designated for the Ngäbe and Buglé communities.
Ngäbe is known for its rich oral tradition and is an important part of the cultural identity of its speakers. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language, especially among younger generations, as it faces challenges from dominant languages like Spanish.
