New York-Penn League
The New York-Penn League was a minor league baseball circuit that operated primarily in the northeastern United States. Established in 1939, it featured teams from New York and Pennsylvania, providing a platform for young players to develop their skills. The league was classified as a Short Season A league, typically running from June to September.
In 2020, the New York-Penn League was restructured as part of Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues. Many of its teams were absorbed into the newly formed MLB Draft League, which focuses on showcasing prospects eligible for the MLB Draft.
