New York Cosmos
The New York Cosmos is a professional soccer team based in New York City, originally founded in 1970. The team gained fame in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly for signing international stars like Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer. The Cosmos played in the North American Soccer League (NASL) and became a symbol of soccer's growth in the United States.
