Nerve Tumors
Nerve tumors, also known as neuromas, are abnormal growths that develop on or near nerves. They can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and may arise from various types of nerve cells. Symptoms often include pain, numbness, or weakness in the affected area, depending on the tumor's location and size.
These tumors can occur in different parts of the body, including the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system. Diagnosis typically involves imaging tests like MRI or CT scans, and treatment options may include surgery, radiation therapy, or observation, depending on the tumor's characteristics and symptoms.
