Nerpa
The Nerpa, also known as the Baikal seal, is a freshwater seal species found exclusively in Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia. It is the only freshwater seal species in the world and is well-adapted to the cold waters of the lake. Nerpas have a distinctive spotted coat and can grow up to 1.5 meters in length. They primarily feed on fish and other aquatic organisms.
Nerpas are known for their unique behavior, including the ability to dive to depths of over 200 meters in search of food.
