Neon Lamp
A neon lamp is a type of gas discharge lamp that produces light when an electric current passes through a gas, typically neon. The lamp consists of a sealed glass tube filled with low-pressure neon gas. When electricity flows through the tube, it excites the neon atoms, causing them to emit a bright, colorful glow, usually in shades of red or orange.
Neon lamps are commonly used for decorative lighting, signage, and indicators. They are known for their energy efficiency and long lifespan compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. Other noble gases, like argon or krypton, can also be used in similar lamps to create different colors and effects.
