Nemzeti Bajnokság I
Nemzeti Bajnokság I is the top professional football league in Hungary. Established in 1901, it features the country's best teams competing for the championship title. The league operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Nemzeti Bajnokság II, the second tier of Hungarian football.
The season typically runs from August to May, with each team playing 33 matches. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. Ferencvárosi TC is one of the most successful clubs in the league's history, having won numerous titles.
