Nelson's Sparrow
The Nelson's Sparrow is a small songbird belonging to the family Emberizidae. It is primarily found in wetland habitats across North America, particularly in marshes and grasslands. This bird is known for its distinctive yellow-orange underparts and streaked brown back, making it relatively easy to identify in its natural habitat.
Nelson's Sparrows are migratory, spending their breeding season in the northern United States and Canada, and wintering in the southern United States and parts of Mexico. They primarily feed on seeds and insects, often foraging in dense vegetation. Their unique song and calls contribute to their identification during the breeding season.
