Nearsightedness
Nearsightedness, also known as myopia, is a common vision condition where distant objects appear blurry while close objects can be seen clearly. This occurs when the eyeball is too long or the cornea is too curved, causing light rays to focus in front of the retina instead of directly on it.
People with nearsightedness may struggle to see things like road signs or classroom boards from a distance. It can be diagnosed through a simple eye exam and is often corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery. Regular eye check-ups are important for maintaining good vision health.
