Naval Mines
Naval mines are explosive devices placed in water to damage or destroy ships and submarines. They can be anchored to the seabed or float just below the surface. When a vessel comes into contact with or approaches a mine, it can trigger an explosion, posing a significant threat to naval and commercial shipping.
There are two main types of naval mines: contact mines, which detonate upon physical contact, and influence mines, which activate based on changes in water pressure, magnetic fields, or acoustic signals. These weapons are often used in warfare to control sea routes and protect coastlines.
