Naval Fighter Weapons School
The Naval Fighter Weapons School, commonly known as Topgun, is a United States Navy training program designed to enhance the combat skills of naval aviators. Established in 1969, it focuses on advanced aerial tactics, weapons systems, and air-to-air combat training. The school aims to develop expert pilots who can effectively engage enemy aircraft and lead their squadrons in combat.
Located at Naval Air Station Fallon in Nevada, the program includes both classroom instruction and practical flight training. Graduates of the school become tactical leaders, sharing their knowledge with fellow pilots and improving overall fleet readiness in aerial warfare.
