Nativity story
The Nativity story describes the birth of Jesus Christ, a central figure in Christianity. It is primarily found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke in the New Testament. According to the story, Mary, a young woman, was visited by the Angel Gabriel and told she would conceive a child by the Holy Spirit. She and her husband, Joseph, traveled to Bethlehem for a census, where Jesus was born in a stable and laid in a manger.
The Nativity is often celebrated during Christmas, symbolizing hope and new beginnings. Key figures include the shepherds, who were informed of Jesus' birth by angels, and the Magi, or Wise Men, who traveled from the East to present gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The story emphasizes themes of humility, faith, and divine intervention.
