National Liberation Army
The National Liberation Army (NLA) is a guerrilla group that has operated primarily in Colombia. Founded in 1964, it emerged from a Marxist-Leninist ideology and sought to address social inequalities and promote revolutionary change. The NLA has been involved in various forms of conflict, including kidnappings and attacks on government forces.
The group is known for its commitment to leftist principles and has been designated as a terrorist organization by several countries, including the United States. Over the years, the NLA has engaged in peace talks with the Colombian government, but violence and conflict have persisted in the region.
